Overview:
Matthias Hans Enders is a T cell immunologist based at The University of Melbourne Node and a member of a PhD exchange program with the University of Bonn in Germany. Matthias has a Master of Science in biochemistry from the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

In 2017, Matthias joined the Heath Laboratory to investigate CD4 T cell-mediated immune response to Plasmodium species, with the goal of harnessing this knowledge for development of new vaccination strategies. He has used methods such as 2-photon intravital imaging, computational analyses of expression profiles and parabiosis to analyses an unusual population of liver-resident CD4 T cells.
