New Imaging CoE Operations Team
This month, we bid farewell to our long serving and respected Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Manoj Sridhar who has taken up a new career direction in management consulting. Manoj started with the Centre since its inception in 2014, working tirelessly to promote and increase the value of the ARC’s Centre of Excellent in Advanced Molecular Imaging.
Manoj’s intrinsic understanding of physics and passion for the work performed by our Imaging CoE researchers meant that he provided superb support for our team. On behalf of everyone, I would like to thank Manoj for his enormous contribution to the Centre and to wish him well in his new career.
I’d also like to welcome our new Chief Operating Officer, Annette Wittmann who has just stepped into the role, joining our recently appointed Media and Communications Manager, Haley Gyngell to complete the new look team.
Both Annette and Haley come with substantial experience and enthusiasm for higher education, science and research collaboration.
Originally from Germany, Annette brings a distinguished focus to international industry and government relations to the Imaging CoE. After training in the corporate sector and studying international management and marketing, she has been in Australia for almost 10 years working in the international higher education sector.
For the last two and a half years, Annette has been in the Monash University Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), where she managed new partnership development, project management and key stakeholder engagement across Germany, the Americas and the Middle East.
More recently, Annette supported Manoj in strengthening the Centre’s internationalisation strategy and engagement with Germany.
Managing our media and communications, Haley comes to us with a wealth of experience in some of Australia’s best higher education, scientific facility, healthcare and not for profit organisations.
These often complex groups require specialized content creation, and Haley’s previous work with both Monash University (Hudson Institute and Monash Comprehensive Cancer Consortium) and The Australian Synchrotron will enable her to communicate our activities in an innate nature.
