Dr. Manoj Sridhar
Manoj is the Chief Operating Officer of the Centre for Advanced Molecular Imaging and is responsible for strategic planning and delivery of the Centre's objectives in each of its four key operational areas - research, training, outreach and commercialisation. His background combines scientific expertise in imaging, specifically ion/electron beam microscopy, and management of large, government funded collaborative initiatives.
Manoj holds a Ph.D. in Physics, specialising in micro and nanofluidics, from Vanderbilt University and moved to Australia in 2009 to join the Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication (MCN), a $50 million national research facility jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments, CSIRO and several major Victorian Universities. At MCN, he was involved from the design and construction of the building and procurement of key research infrastructure through to establishment of the Centre as one of the leading research hubs in Australia. As a staff scientist, he was primarily responsible for the flagship FEI Helios NanoLab Dual Beam Focused Ion Beam/Scanning Electron Microscope at MCN, and worked on a wide range of academic and industrial projects.
Prior to joining the Imaging CoE in April 2014, he led the Australian Research Infrastructure Network (ARIN), a Victorian Government funded initiative aimed at rolling out world-leading facilities management software to a diverse range of platform research facilities across a number of different Victorian research institutions. ARIN aimed to:

ARIN aimed to:
- enable researchers to discover available, open access research infrastructure across the State and simplify the mechanism of obtaining access to these facilities via a single portal,
- enable platform research facilities to reach a wider audience of researchers, maximising facility utilisation and revenue, and manage and track key facility reporting and accounting metrics, and
- enable research institutions and the State Government to make informed strategic decisions around research infrastructure funding and resourcing by providing them with access to real-time data and metrics regarding platform research facilities utilisation and operations.
