Winston Churchill Travelling Fellow, Kristin Ladell, visiting Imaging CoE this month

Kristin Ladell, a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellow, is visiting Imaging CoE CI Jamie Rossjohn and AI Stephanie Gras this month. Kristin is currently a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, UK. She is a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellow visiting Prof Jamie Rossjohn’s laboratory and will be working closely with AI Stephanie Gras during her visit. She is a physician by training and holds an MD doctorate from the Charité, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, as well as a PhD from Cardiff University.

She completed part of her clinical foundation training at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital and Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa and part of her specialist training at the University Children’s Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland. She has previously held research positions at the University of Zurich, Switzerland and at the University of California San Francisco, CA, USA. Her main scientific interest since end of 2004 has been the study of peripheral and tissue resident, conventional and unconventional T cells in infection, autoimmunity, cancer and ageing.
