The 2019 Interactive Science Expo at UNSW is a science outreach event with interactive sessions and activities designed to engage people in our community who are living with vision or hearing loss. This event will provide our community members with insight into the research goals of the Imaging CoE, and an introduction to the minute scale of life that we study using microscopes.

Building on the success of similar Imaging CoE events hosted at Monash BDI and at UNSW Sydney in 2018, we will showcase the research themes of the Centre CIs and AIs in the UNSW node. This year’s event is led by AI, Dr Jesse Goyette. Our overall aim is to share our love of science with general audiences in an inclusive and accessible manner, using tactile and interactive activities. This expo opens up a realm that people with visual and hearing impairments cannot easily access!
